Ostrog Monastery of the Holy Basil Thaumaturge is the largest sanctuary in Montenegro. The Monastery was built in the 1650th,and it consists of Lower and Upper Monastery. Upper Ostrog Monastery is located at 900 m above sea level and it keeps the relics of St Basil of Ostrog, which have healing powers. The monastery is the most visited holy in these areas and is visited by all believers,regardless of denomination.

Our tour departs from Igalo at 06:45 , journey continues through Kamenari and Lipci, by the beautiful panorama of the Bay of Kotor, and then we slowly cross to the continental part of Montenegro. Around 08:00 we arrive at a national restaurant "Koliba" where we make a break for coffee and breakfast on request, retention in the restaurant is about 20 minutes.

Arrival at the monastery complex is planned around 08.40h.

Free time to visit the Upper Monastery, Church of the Martyr Stanko and the Lower Monastery is a period of 3.00h.At the return from Ostrog Monastery we’ll make an 1hour lunch break. Departure from the restaurant is planned around 13.30h.

In return you will have the opportunity to see and take the photos of the beautiful panorama of Salt Lake and the Bay of Kotor.

Return in Herceg Novi is planned around 16.00h.
